Momo the better half of E-volveNow.com has 2 new additions to add to the E-volveNow family.

That would be Squidoo (black and white) and Xanga (tiger striped).

She is nursing them back to tip-top shape. Hmmmm.....I think the economy could use Mo. And if anyone can do it - it would be Momo!

It's Time to CRANK!

It's funny I was speaking with a some folks over the past few days and all they could talk about was how "no-one was doing anything", "people are holding their breath", "people are worried and scared".

I asked why everyone was so worried.....They did not like that question as if I was uninformed and should be sharing and commiserating in the woe. They said "I mean can you believe how much money has been lost!"

That is the funniest thing I have ever heard!! What a scream!

If the money is lost - where did it get lost to? Here is the best part of all - if it has been "lost", how in the heck did it get lost in someone else's pocket?

Money is never lost, it is just transferred and has flowed to someone else (hence the term currency). Money doesn't get lost or disappear.

Someone has it no matter how bad the housing market is. Someone has it no matter how bad the stock market is. Someone has it no matter how much people complain about not having it.

Stop watching the news, listening to the woeful ones and go find that "Lost" money.

Never has there been a better time to do Internet Marketing and help others win online, offline and find that "Lost" Money!!

Google Messes it up AGAIN?!

Google - Those guys and gals in Silicon Valley are up to it again....

I had a bunch of videos ranking for a client - THAT WERE RELEVANT.... and the next thing you know they were no where to be found for about 3-4 days. Voila, they magically reappear and rank at the top.

Interesting stuff as usual. And a major confirmation, if you are relevant they can't get rid of you! Also if you have valid, real, fresh, new content that is relevant you WILL rank!

Here's the latest screen shot for one of our client's he's ranking in spots 2,3 & 4 for a keyword that has 2.1 million results and we did it inside of 1 week. Who says you can't rank quickly?

Is Google Changing their Algorithms Again?

Are things changing at Google? Well I've seen some definite changes in how they show Wordpress Blogs related to the tagging. Here is a Google snap shot of what I'm talking about.

It used to actually take you to the blog itself and to that particular post containing the search tags. Now as you can see above it brings it to a tags page within Wordpress - which will aggregate the tags for each specific blog tagged accordingly as seen below.

Bottom line what does this mean? Well first it means that it takes one more click to get to your blog. It also means that you will be competing with others on a "Tags" page. Because if others are competing for the same tags they will most likely end up on the tag aggregation page. So it's not quite as effective as before when you could have google lead directly back to your Wordpress blog.

Is there a way to get traffic for particular keyword directly back to your blog? Well if you had traffic going directly back to your blog before this change and/or your blog already ranked for the specific keywords you are after it is not penalizing those that were already there. It seems to just penalize the newcomers.

The other test I'm doing now is to determine if a specific URL and consistent regular posting using the keyword tags you desire will allow the blog itself to rank rather than just the aggregate tag page as above. I will let you know what happens!

Local Businesses are Failing Due to One Small Oversight

If you are not using the most cutting edge internet marketing traffic strategies that involve web 2.0, blogs, articles, video, email marketing campaigns, list building techniques and many other methods in an integrated online and off line synergistic marketing effort YOU JUST LOST and your Competitors are BEATING YOU!

But I don’t know how. But I’m not sure what to do. But it’s too expensive. But I don’t need to because I have a (insert product name here) and I get all of my traffic from people in my store. But, But, But……STOP. As I always like to say, get the Buts out of the way.

Ask yourself this question “When was the last time I looked in a phonebook?”. Google and other search engines are now the Yellow Pages of the world. “But that’s only for products that have a National appeal” you say? The answer - Absolutely Not.

How do I know this? Let me ask you this question “How can a local restaurant owner make over $95,000 in 2 months, with a $50 advertising budget, without cooking a single meal or having customers come to his restaurant?” True story. How can this story be yours?

So what next?

1. Learn what is available to you in your local area. Internet Marketing is not as difficult, expensive or irrelevant as you think. How do you find someone? Google your local area and the term “internet marketing” or “seo” or “internet advisor” i.e. internet marketing santa rosa

2. Watch what is happening on the search engines. Go google yourself or a word that people would search for when looking for the products or services you provide. Where are you in the Search Results? If you are not to be found you have just lost potential customers

3. You can do a lot of research to determine what to do next or do what I suggested in topic #1 above. People call me all the time and I give them fre.e information on what they can do and I give them access to low cost and even fre.e resources to get them started. And I don’t make a single dime.

4. TAKE ACTION. Without this last step you’re finished. Hang up the hat, take down the shingle, call it a day, whatever….because you will be out of business soon. My formula for success is: Desire-Action = Frustration, But Desire+Action = An opportunity to LEARN.

The world has evolved, have you? If you do not evolve, where will you be in the next 6 months or 6 years? Internet marketing and search engine optimization is changing how we do business right now and those who adapt, evolve and take action will win. The question is, Will You?
